The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is a scientific
society of over 17,000 laboratory and clinical cancer researchers.
It was established to facilitate communication and dissemination
of knowledge among scientists and to advance the understanding
of cancer etiology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment throughout
the world. The AACR publishes five prestigious journals and convenes
an annual meeting attended by scientists from around the world.
Other offerings include scientific conferences, educational workshops,
and an active public education program.

American Institute for Cancer Research

The American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) is the third
largest cancer charity in the United States, and a pioneer in
the area of diet and nutrition as they relate to the prevention
and treatment of cancer.
American Society of Clinical Oncology

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is a non-profit
organization that supports all types of cancer research and has
more than 16,000 professional members worldwide. Membership includes
clinical oncologists from all oncology disciplines and subspecialties;
physicians and health care professionals participating in approved
oncology training programs; oncology nurses; and other health
care practitioners with an interest in oncology.
American Society of Preventive Oncology

The American Society of Preventive Oncology (ASPO) is an organization
made up members of various clinical disciplines that promotes
the exchange and dissemination of information, ideas and new research
relating to cancer prevention and control. The membership also
supports the implementation and evaluation of national, state,
and local programs and policies in cancer prevention and control.
In addition to annual meetings, ASPO publishes Cancer Epidemiology,
Biomarkers & Prevention (CEBP), a peer-reviewed journal that
includes original research on cancer causation, mechanisms of
carcinogenesis, prevention and survivorship.

National Cancer Institute

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is a principal agency for
cancer research and training. The NCI coordinates the National

to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer,
rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer
patients and the families of cancer patients.

The National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) was founded
in 1973 to support cancer research from a scientific perspective.
