The American Society of Clinical Oncology will hold its annual meeting from May 12-15 in San Francisco, California. The goal of the 2001 ASCO Annual Meeting is to foster communication among career-related medical subspecialties, and facilitate an exchange of a wide range of ideas related to cancer. ASCO's objectives are to advance the education of physicians and other professionals in the care of patients with cancer, support the development of clinical cancer researchers and facilitate the delivery of high quality health care to patients with cancer. The Annual Meeting is targeted to US and international physicians, academicians, clinical researchers and other health-care professionals involved in multidisciplinary clinical cancer care. The educational activities range from basic to advanced and are designed to meet the various experience and practice needs of attendees.
